Job description

Teaching Personnel is seeking compassionate and confident Cover Supervisors to work within a low-level SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) provision in Warrington, supporting secondary-aged students across Maths and English.

This is an ideal role for someone looking to make a difference in a smaller, more nurturing learning environment, without the intensity of high-level behaviour challenges.

About the Role:

  • Working with students aged 11–16 with mild to moderate SEMH needs

  • Supervising pre-set lessons in Maths and English

  • Encouraging engagement, focus, and emotional regulation in class

  • Working as part of a close-knit, supportive staff team

  • Building rapport and being a positive, stable presence for students

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with young people (education, youth work, or support work)

  • A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach

  • Confidence in leading classes and managing low-level disruptions

  • A basic understanding of the secondary Maths and English curriculum

  • A genuine interest in supporting students who need a more personalised approach

Location: Warrington
Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing
Days: 4 days per week (long-term role)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
