Cover Supervisor roles are ideal for graduates who are looking to build up their experience before pursuing a career in teaching, or for undergraduates who are currently studying a specific curriculum subject and are seeking a part-time position to fit around their university course.

Teaching Personnel are working with a partner school in Pontefract who are looking to recruit Cover Supervisors for the Easter 2021 start. You will be able to develop and deliver high quality and positive learning experiences to all pupils across the school.  We want Cover Supervisors who have a driven passion towards children and education, and will be able to build good trusted relationships towards everyone in school.

The role of a Cover Supervisor will involve-

• Leading and managing the classroom
• Delivering pre-planned work
• Managing pupils behaviour by following the schools behaviour policies
• Maintaining a safe and tidy classroom
• Ensuring pupils are on task with the work they have been set
• Having previous experience of teaching in schools, or supporting lessons with children in an educational setting of some sort
• Having  a DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to apply for one
