Cover Supervisor

Location: Torfaen, South Wales
Pay Rate: £110-£120 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Start October 2025
About the Role
Are you confident, energetic, and passionate about working with young people?
A supportive secondary school in Torfaen is looking for a Cover Supervisor and it could be a great fit for someone with a sporty background or experience engaging young people through physical activity.
In this role, you’ll step into classrooms across a range of subjects, delivering pre-set lessons when teachers are absent. You don’t need to be a subject expert — just someone who can keep students focused, motivated, and on track.
This is a hands-on role where flexibility is key — no two days are the same! You’ll need to manage behaviour confidently, create a positive learning environment, and build strong relationships with students.

- Familiar with key curriculum subjects
- Follows safeguarding procedures and takes registers accurately
Requirements
Teaching Personnel can provide guidance to help you obtain:
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service
- Level 2 Safeguarding training
- At least two professional referencescovering the past two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
