Cover Supervisor
Job description
Experienced Cover Supervisor – Sunderland Secondary Schools
Competitive Daily Rates, September 2026
If you're an experienced Cover Supervisor who knows the job well but feels like your current agency isn't delivering — whether that's the same schools on repeat, poor communication, or rates that haven't moved — September is a good time to make a change.
Teaching Personnel works with a broad network of secondary schools across Sunderland, and takes the time to understand what works for you before placing you anywhere. New schools, better support, and a consultant who is genuinely easy to get hold of — it's a straightforward switch that's worth making.
What the role involves:
- Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 and delivering pre-set work
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations
- Following school procedures and providing brief feedback to staff
- Adapting confidently to different schools and year groups
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school setting
- Confident managing a classroom independently
- Reliable, professional, and adaptable
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
What Teaching Personnel offers:
- Competitive daily rates paid weekly via PAYE
- Access to a wide network of Sunderland secondary schools
- Guaranteed Work Scheme for those wanting financial stability
- Free CPD and development opportunities
- Dedicated consultant support — not just a name on an email
