Cover Supervisor – Sunderland Secondary Schools
Competitive Daily Rates, Flexible, ASAP Start

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Cover Supervisors for secondary schools across Sunderland, with work available immediately. Whether you're a graduate taking your first steps into education or someone with existing classroom experience looking for a fresh start, both are welcome here.

It's a role with clear boundaries and genuine variety — no planning, no marking, no parents' evenings. You go in, deliver pre-set work, manage the room, and keep students focused. Straightforward, rewarding, and entirely flexible around your availability.

What the role involves:

  • Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 and delivering pre-set work
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations
  • Following school procedures and providing brief feedback to staff
  • Adapting to different schools and year groups

What we're looking for:

  • A degree in any discipline or prior experience in a school setting
  • Confident managing secondary aged students
  • Reliable, professional, and adaptable
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
