Daily Rate: £100 – £110 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available
About the Role
Are you passionate about education and ready to make a real impact in the classroom?
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Powys. In this rewarding position, you’ll play a key role in supporting students aged 11–16 by maintaining a positive learning environment during teacher absences.
This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or those with experience in youth work or care who are looking to gain hands-on classroom experience and make a meaningful contribution to young people's education.
You’ll deliver pre-set lesson plans, manage classroom behaviour, and support students in their learning — helping them reach their full potential.
✨ What You’ll Be Doing
• Leading classes in the absence of the regular teacher
• Delivering engaging, pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects
• Supporting students of all abilities and ensuring inclusivity in the classroom
• Promoting positive behaviour, confidence, and independence among pupils
• Working closely with teaching staff and school leaders to maintain a supportive learning environment
• Following school safeguarding and welfare policies to ensure student safety

We’re open to candidates from a range of professional backgrounds. While no formal teaching qualifications are required, experience working with young people in educational or support roles is highly valued.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
