Cover Supervisor & Sports Support Assistant

Location: Poole
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 (Term Time Only)
Pay: £110 – £120 per day
Contract: Flexible – Part-time or Full-time options

If you’re a recent graduate, sports student, or aspiring teacher, this role offers the perfect mix of teaching experience and sports coaching—giving you the skills, confidence, and connections to kickstart your career in education or youth development. We’re working with welcoming secondary schools across Poole to find enthusiastic, adaptable people to join as Cover Supervisors & Sports Support Assistants. You’ll lead pre-planned lessons, get involved in PE and after-school clubs, and make a real difference in students’ lives.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead pre-prepared lessons across subjects such as English, Maths, Science, Humanities, PE, DT, Art, Computing, and MFL.

  • Support PE lessons, sports clubs, and extracurricular activities.

  • Create an engaging, inclusive classroom where all students feel supported.

  • Manage classroom behaviour and encourage a positive learning environment.

  • Build strong, professional relationships with students and staff.

What You’ll Gain

We’re Looking For

  • Sports students or graduates – or anyone working towards a degree in any subject.

  • Great communication skills, energy, and a “can-do” attitude.

  • Experience leading groups (coaching, tutoring, mentoring) is a bonus, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
