Are you looking interested in a career within Teaching but not sure where to start? Would you like to gain valuable classroom experience before starting your teacher training? If the answer is yes then you are in the right place!

Teaching Personnel are recruiting 5 Cover Supervisors to work in our partner secondary schools across Oldham. As a Cover Supervisor you will be paid to teach full classes across all subjects within the school giving you the essential skills and experience to be able to kickstart your teaching career.

  • Full time or part time available
  • Have a choice to work across different secondary schools in Oldham giving you the best experience and exposure as possible
  • Long term work

You will need to be flexible and very reliable with a passion to help young people succeed in the classroom. As a cover supervisor you do not need to have tons of experience and qualifications so do not worry if you feel you are not qualified enough to teach! An ability to manage classroom behaviour and form strong relationships is what you need to be a successful cover supervisor.

You will be required to cover lessons in the absence of the main class teacher. The teacher will leave work for you to follow whether that be work sheets, a PowerPoint presentation or workbooks and you guide students through this work. It is important to have a strong presence, be able to manage challenging behaviour and encourage learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
