Cover Supervisor – Opportunities Across Northamptonshire

Are you looking to take your first step into teaching, or seeking a rewarding role within education? We are recruiting reliable and motivated Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Northamptonshire.

This role is perfect for graduates, teaching assistants ready for the next step, or professionals with transferable skills who can lead and inspire young learners.

Role Overview:
Cover Supervisors play a key part in maintaining high standards of learning in the absence of teachers. You’ll deliver pre-planned lessons, manage behaviour effectively, and ensure students remain focused and engaged.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences

  • Ensure a calm and purposeful learning environment

  • Follow lesson plans and uphold school behaviour policies

  • Record attendance and provide brief feedback to staff

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organisational ability and a calm, assertive approach

  • Experience working with young people (desired but not essential)

  • A genuine interest in education and supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
