Cover Supervisor – Opportunities Across Northamptonshire

This role is perfect for graduates, teaching assistants ready for the next step, or professionals with transferable skills who can lead and inspire young learners.
Role Overview:
Cover Supervisors play a key part in maintaining high standards of learning in the absence of teachers. You’ll deliver pre-planned lessons, manage behaviour effectively, and ensure students remain focused and engaged.
Responsibilities:

Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences
-
Ensure a calm and purposeful learning environment
-
Follow lesson plans and uphold school behaviour policies
-
Record attendance and provide brief feedback to staff
Requirements:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Strong organisational ability and a calm, assertive approach
-
Experience working with young people (desired but not essential)
-
A genuine interest in education and supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
