Cover Supervisor – Secondary School, Northamptonshire

We’re looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join our dynamic secondary schools across Northamptonshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who enjoys working with young people and wants to play an active role in their education — whether you’re an aspiring teacher, an experienced educator, or someone looking for a new challenge.
The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom to supervise lessons during teacher absences. Using prepared lesson plans, you’ll ensure students stay on task, support learning where needed, and help maintain a positive, engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

Support students with their learning and development
-
Provide feedback to teaching staff after lessons
About You:

Confident communicator with strong classroom presence

Able to motivate and engage young people
-
Organised, reliable, and adaptable to different subjects and settings
-
Previous experience working with children (school or youth setting) is desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
