A secondary school in Tidworth, Salisbury is looking to appoint a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2025. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and looking to gain hands-on experience in a classroom setting.
The role of Cover Supervisor involves supporting students across a range of subjects by delivering pre-set work in the absence of the usual class teacher. The school is well-established, with a strong leadership team and a welcoming staff community that offers excellent support and guidance.
Key responsibilities include:

Supervising whole classes during short-term teacher absences

Ensuring students remain on task with the work set by teaching staff

Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies

Responding to any questions from pupils about the work

Reporting back to teaching staff with feedback on lesson engagement and behaviour
The ideal candidate will have:

Confidence in managing and leading a classroom

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A calm and professional approach

Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)

A genuine interest in supporting students’ learning and development
