 Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
 Contract: Start October 2025


About the Role

Join a supportive Secondary School in Newport as a Cover Supervisor – Ideal for Maths Enthusiasts!

Teaching Personnel is working with a welcoming secondary school in the Newport area to recruit a full-time Cover Supervisor who has a keen interest in Mathematics and supporting students in their learning journey.

In this role, you’ll step into classrooms to deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects, with a particular opportunity to support Maths classes when teachers are absent.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment, managing behaviour effectively, and ensuring students understand what’s expected of them. Each day brings something new, offering the chance to build strong relationships with learners and gain valuable classroom experience.

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN/ALN

Requirements

Teaching Personnel can provide guidance to help you obtain:

  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Level 2 Safeguarding training
  • At least two professional referencescovering the past two years
