Cover Supervisor

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team of education professionals, providing support and supervision to students in schools across Manchester. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classroom activities, maintaining a positive learning environment, and ensuring the smooth running of lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.

Key Information:

• You will work on a flexible basis, managing your own availability.
• You will earn a competitive salary between £77 and £85 per day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classroom activities and manage student behaviour.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and resources.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Establish and maintain relationships with students, teachers, and support staff.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during lessons.
• Mark and provide feedback on student work as required.
• Contribute to the overall success and development of the school.

Requirements:

• Experience working with students of various ages and abilities.
• Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
• A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Preferred Qualifications:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area
• Prior experience as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant
• Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
• First aid training and certification
