Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team of education professionals, providing support and supervision to students in schools across Manchester. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classroom activities, maintaining a positive learning environment, and ensuring the smooth running of lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
Key Information:
- You will work on a flexible basis, managing your own availability.
- You will earn a competitive salary between £77 and £85 per day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classroom activities and manage student behaviour.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and resources.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Establish and maintain relationships with students, teachers, and support staff.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during lessons.
- Mark and provide feedback on student work as required.
- Contribute to the overall success and development of the school.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students of various ages and abilities.
- Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area
- Prior experience as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant
- Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
- First aid training and certification

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
