Our client school in North Manchester are looking to appoint a flexible cover supervisor to join them cover team and provide emergency cover during lessons for absent teaching staff.

Working at our client school as a full time cover supervisor, you will benefit from;

- Continuity of working in same school for the duration of this academic year

- Attractive pay rates dependant on experience (£55 - £65 per day)

- Gain an introduction to a school with a number of teacher training links

- Benefit from regular CPD and in-house training from schools staff

Our client school is a large, modern secondary school situated just slightly north of the city centre which boasts excellent public transport links due to the nearby Metrolink station. The school recently moved into a purpose built site with teaching and learning at its forefront, and students and staff can benefit from outstanding provisions for learning and interactive learning spaces. The school serves a diverse catchment area with a large number of those enrol from the local areas of Blackley, Crumpsall and Moston.

Highlights of working as a cover supervisor;

- Cover lessons across a number of topics including your own subject specialism

- Work under the guidance of teaching and associate staff in lessons and around the school

- Provide support to students during lessons when cover is not required

- Successfully managing behaviour in line with school behaviour policy

- Gain invaluable experience prior to starting a PGCE or similar teacher training programme

The successful cover supervisor will need;

- Aspirations of a career in education such as teaching or specialised support

- To be comfortable with English and Mathematics (GCSE grade minimum)

- Previous experience working with young people in an education or sports coach setting

- The ability to work on their own initiative and engage students during lessons
