About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit a confident, adaptable, and compassionate Cover Supervisor to work in secondary SEN schools across Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the class teacher, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring students remain engaged and supported throughout the day.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a calm and productive learning environment
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects
  • Support students with SEN
  • Manage classroom behaviour and promote positive interactions
  • Liaise with teaching staff and SENCOs to ensure continuity of learning
  • Provide feedback on student progress and classroom activity

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational or SEN setting
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one via Teaching Personnel
  • A background in education, youth work, or care is desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
