Job description

Teaching Personnel is looking for committed and resilient Cover Supervisors to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in Leigh. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students who benefit from a tailored curriculum, with a focus on Functional Skills in English and Maths.

The Role:

  • Working 4 days a week in a single SEMH provision

  • Supporting students aged 11–16 with social, emotional, and behavioural needs

  • Delivering and supervising pre-set Functional Skills lessons

  • Building positive relationships and promoting engagement

  • Collaborating with a supportive team in a structured environment

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience working with young people (education, youth work, or care settings ideal)

  • Confidence in managing behaviour and promoting positive learning

  • Basic knowledge of Functional Skills (English and Maths)

  • Patience, resilience, and a passion for making a difference

Location: Leigh
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: 4 days per week (long-term placement)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
