Teaching Personnel are working closely with a secondary school in Fareham who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining high standards of teaching and learning in a supportive and inclusive environment.

As part of the established team of Cover Supervisors, you will deliver lessons and supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff across a variety of subjects. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education, enjoys working with young people, and is confident in managing a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring that pupils remain on task with the work set.

• Manage student behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects at Key Stages 3 and 4.

• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and any issues that arise during lessons.

• Uphold the school’s policies and ethos, acting as a role model to students.

• Support the wider school community through involvement in duties and extracurricular activities where appropriate.

What We’re Looking For:

• A reliable and flexible individual who is confident in leading a classroom.

• Ability to work across a range of subjects with a professional and adaptable approach.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• A genuine interest in the development and well-being of young people.

• Previous experience working in a school setting or with young people is desirable, but not essential.
