Job Title: Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools

Location: Corby & Kettering
Salary: £100–£130 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible

About the Role
We are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in the Corby and Kettering areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience or build a career in education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain engaged and on task, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise whole classes during teacher absences

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

  • Ensure a safe and productive learning environment

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Educated to degree level (essential)

  • Strong behaviour management skills (essential)

  • Confidence managing groups of secondary-aged students

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

  • Previous experience working with young people (preferred but not essential)

  • A genuine interest in education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
