Job description

We are looking for a confident and motivated Cover Supervisor to join a supportive and well-structured learning environment in Christchurch.

This is a full-time position with an immediate start, working with students aged 11 to 16. For the right individual, this role has the potential to become permanent, as the setting is keen to invest in a strong and reliable member of staff.

Working hours are typically 8.30am to 3pm, with some weekday end times varying.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher

  • Maintain a calm and purposeful learning environment

  • Apply strong behaviour management strategies consistently

  • Support students with engagement and learning tasks


What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 6 months of childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN needs would be beneficial

  • Confident classroom presence and excellent behaviour management skills

  • Reliable, proactive and committed to full-time work

  • Understanding of safeguarding and school procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
