Cover Supervisor – Blandford Forum

Cover Supervisor | Secondary School | Blandford Forum | ASAP Start

Teaching Personnel are seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor in Blandford Forum to support secondary schools with classroom cover. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is looking to gain or develop experience within the education sector.

The role would suit an experienced Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor or graduate looking to move into a classroom-based position.

The role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise pupils in the absence of their usual teacher, ensuring students remain focused and complete the work provided. You will be responsible for maintaining a positive classroom environment and managing behaviour effectively.

You won't be expected to plan or deliver lessons, making this a particularly suitable role for candidates who want classroom experience without the full responsibilities of a teaching position.

Key requirements:

  • Experience working with young people is desirable

  • Confident classroom presence

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Good communication and organisation

  • Ability to follow lesson plans and instructions

  • Reliable, professional and adaptable

  • Previous school experience is advantageous but not essential
