Cover Supervisor

URGENT Full-Time Cover Supervisor – Maths, English or Science specialisms preferable but not mandatory
Start Date: October Half Term 2025

We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a supportive secondary school team from after the October half term. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone preferabbly with a strong background in Maths, English, or Science, who is keen to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school are looking for someone who is open to joining them on a permanent basis, following a succesful trial period. The school is a vibrant, inclusive secondary based in the heart of Cambridge, with a strong focus on academic achievement and community values.

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects, with a particular strength in Maths, English or Science.

• Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.

• Support students to stay on task, reinforcing key learning objectives.

• Work closely with teaching staff to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has a strong academic background in Maths, English or Science, again this is preferable but not mandatory! 

• Is confident managing whole classes and building rapport with young people.

• Brings excellent communication and organisation skills.

• Is reliable, proactive, and enjoys working as part of a team.
