URGENT Full-Time Cover Supervisor – Maths, English or Science specialisms preferable but not mandatory
Start Date: October Half Term 2025
We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a supportive secondary school team from after the October half term. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone preferabbly with a strong background in Maths, English, or Science, who is keen to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school are looking for someone who is open to joining them on a permanent basis, following a succesful trial period. The school is a vibrant, inclusive secondary based in the heart of Cambridge, with a strong focus on academic achievement and community values.
Due to the quick turn around required for this role, we would ask that you only apply if you can commit on a full time basis and are willing to work efficiently wit us in order to complete your vetting checks before the start date.
Role Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects, with a particular strength in Maths, English or Science.

Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.

Support students to stay on task, reinforcing key learning objectives.

Work closely with teaching staff to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
The Ideal Candidate:

Has a strong academic background in Maths, English or Science, again this is preferable but not mandatory!

Is confident managing whole classes and building rapport with young people.

Brings excellent communication and organisation skills.

Is reliable, proactive, and enjoys working as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
