Position: Cover Supervisor

Location: Blackburn

Start date: Ideally ASAP

Contract type: Full-time, part-time and ad-hoc contracts available

Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint pro-active and committed Cover Supervisors who would be available upon profile clearance to support local mainstream Secondary schools in Blackburn and the surrounding areas. It is preferable that the successful candidates can drive and have access to a vehicle.

The successful applicants will be a positive role model and ensure high standards are set in the classroom. You will be confident in your ability to deliver quality cover lessons, in which students can learn and make progress. You will have the ability to develop positive working relationships with students and colleagues, and you will have a ‘can do’ attitude as well as energy, commitment and drive.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is either a qualified teacher, or has extensive experience supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils
  • Has good classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Has excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Builds positive working relationships with pupils, staff, parents and carers
  • Has excellent organisational skills and can work on their own initiative

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
