Teaching Personnel are working with one their client schools in Birmingham, who are looking to recruit a full time and permanent Cover Supervisor to join their team. The school are looking for someone to start from 4th September through Teaching Personnel, with a view to moving onto a permanent contract after the first 12 weeks. 

As a Cover Supervisor you will be confident to supervise whole classes during the absence of teachers which may include supervising students in an isolation room. You would be expected to ensure that students work in a calm and secure environment and manage the behaviour of students in lessons

This position would be perfect for a graduate with school based experience, or an apsiring teacher looking to gain experience as a Cover Supervisor. 

Requirements for the role:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's
  • Some experience managing the behaviour of Secondary school children
  • Knowledge of the key factors affecting the way young people learn.
  • Some knowledge of SEN
  • Competent use of IT to ensure you can learn the Management Information System

Duties include:

  • To ensure that students work in a calm and secure environment
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom
  • To keep students on task and complete the set work to a high standard during the lesson
  • Collecting completed work at the end of the lesson and return it to the appropriate teacher.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
