Cover Supervisor (Maths Specialism)
Full-Time | January – July 2026 | Accrington
Are you passionate about supporting young people and have a flair for mathematics? We are seeking a confident, enthusiastic Cover Supervisor with a Maths specialism to join our secondary school in Accrington from January 2026 until July 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with students and wants to make a real difference in the classroom. The role is ideal for a graduate, aspiring teacher, or experienced cover supervisor looking to build their experience in a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring a calm and focused learning environment
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons, primarily in Mathematics, but also across a range of subjects where required
- Support students with their learning and maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure continuity and progress for all students
About You
- A strong understanding of Mathematics and confidence in supporting students across key stages
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate young people in their learning
- Previous experience in a school setting or with young people is desirable
- A degree or equivalent qualification would be advantageous

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
