Job Title: Cover Supervisor (secondary)

Location: Gateshead

Salary: £90-£100 a day (paid weekly via PAYE)

Job type: Flexible (Part-time and Full-time)

Start date: September 2025

Are you a confident individual who is interested in teaching and gaining relevant experience? Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate cover supervisor to work across secondary schools in the Gateshead area.

What this role entails:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons across various school subjects
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maximising student engagement
  • Supporting students with classwork
  • Work collaboratively with your colleagues

Desirable candidates will have:

  • Previous experience working within a teaching environment or other relevant experience
  • Ability to adapt to new environments
  • Confidence in managing classroom behaviours and concerns

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
