Start date: May 2021
Contract type: Full Time

Salary: MPS
Suitable for NQTs: Yes

On behalf of my work force partner we are looking to appoint a Teacher who can teach a timetable of Computer Science and ICT, who can teach Key Stage 3 and 4 in a Secondary School in Leeds.

We require a Computer Science and ICT teacher who can build excellent relationships with students and staff. We are also hoping to appoint somebody with a teacher who can bring new ideas and energy to the team. These are hugely important qualities in terms of collaborative working, but also in getting the very best out of our students. A strong commitment to the extra-curricular life of the school is also important to us.

Subject knowledge is important, as is an up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in Computers and systems. The successful candidate will thoroughly enjoy teaching their subject which will be easy to see by others.

In return, the School can offer an outstanding learning environment, working with students who are typically above national average attainment at start point in Year 7.  The ICT / Computing and Business departments can offer five Level 2 qualifications (GCSE Business Studies, BTEC Business Studies, Economics, VCert Creative I-Media and GCSE Computing).

Uptake in these subjects is very strong at this particular Secondary School. Also, the school has recently been inspected by Ofsted under the New Framework. The school has retained its good judgement and that included strong praise for the Quality of Education.

The staff body is very experienced and they have a highly committed team who always ‘go the extra mile’ for the school and community. All staff are expected to contribute to the development of new resources and to work collaboratively with others. They also offer excellent professional development opportunities and a wide range of facilities.

Standards of behaviour are excellent. They achieve this because of a very strong team work ethic in pastoral management, but also they do not tolerate poor choices without proportionate consequences. As a new member of staff, you will find the school to be an extremely welcoming environment to teach in.

If this exciting new opportunity sounds like a role you would be interested in then please contact Brian on 0113 2240232 or email  brian.hardiel@teachingpersonnel.com with a current CV and up to date 6 year work history with no gaps.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
