Community Teacher
Location – High Wycombe
Salary - £30,000 - £40,000
Full time permanent position

Teaching Personnel have a great opportunity to work with an Alternative provision school in High Wycombe. The school cater for KS3-KS4 pupils with SEMH needs, they are looking for passionate community teachers to join their dedicated team.

Community Teachers require access to their own vehicle and a clean driving license. Mileage will be paid.

Role;

  • Identifying clear teaching objectives and specifying how they will be taught and assessed
  • Setting tasks which challenge students and ensure high levels of interest
  • Setting appropriate and demanding expectations
  • Setting clear targets, building on prior attainment
  • Be aware of and make provision for students who are AEN/SEN, more able, LAC or who have other individual needs
  • Providing clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation and challenge
  • Making effective use of assessment and ensure coverage of programs of study
  • Ensuring effective teaching and best use of available time
  • Maintaining discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and encouraging good practice regarding punctuality, behavior, standards of work and homework

Qualifications and Education

  • Teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) – or willing to work towards
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Maths and English to at least level 2
  • Specialist teaching qualification in a chosen subject (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
