Support a Child's Journey – Join Our Classroom Team in Penarth!

Are you passionate about working with children? Do you want to make a real difference in a child's school experience?

Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to take on a Classroom Support Assistant role at a primary school in Penarth, within the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan.

No formal classroom experience? No problem!
Whether you've supported children in your family, coached sports, or worked in care, your experience is valuable—and we want to hear from you!

About the Role:

You'll be supporting multiple pupils on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day, helping to create a calm, engaging, and positive learning environment. The school operates a “Team Around the Child” system, meaning you will be a part of a large team assisting in their ALN department.

Offering personalised support in the classroom and during school activities

Building a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil

Encouraging confidence and celebrating progress

Adapting feedback and support methods to suit individual needs

Promoting creativity, independence, and inclusion

️ Supporting pupils with additional learning needs such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, down syndrome or physical needs

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, term-time only.

Competitive weekly pay – £13.75/hour (via PAYE – no timesheets!)

Help with your Enhanced DBS, EWC registration, and any paperwork needed to get started

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
