Are you a skilled educator or tutor seeking flexible opportunities?
If you're an experienced graduate, sports coach or tutor looking for part-time, full-time, short-term, or long-term work, Teaching Personnel is here to assist you. As the leading educational recruitment company in the UK, we collaborate with over 90% of schools in the Oldham, Rochdale and Greater Manchester area, providing a wide range of opportunities to match your schedule.
The Role
As a classroom supervisor, your role will involve assisting schools during crucial times, such as short-term sickness, long-term sickness, maternity cover, and ongoing gaps. Most short-term cover assignments will involve general classroom supervision, where you will be provided with pre-set work and expected to demonstrate strong behaviour management skills to ensure students complete their assignments. If you have subject expertise, we can also accommodate roles where you cover lessons within your area of proficiency.
We also offer temp-to-perm positions for those seeking longer-term commitments. This involves completing an initial 16-week period through Teaching Personnel before potentially receiving a permanent contract from the school. This arrangement allows both you and the school to evaluate the fit before making a permanent commitment.
Teaching Personnel provides cover supervising courses for individuals who are not qualified teachers, helping them understand the job requirements. It's also a valuable opportunity for those with limited teaching experience to gain confidence in managing classrooms. If you're interested in pursuing a PGCE, this experience offers real-life teaching exposure within a classroom setting, and can lead to paid teacher training through our graduate teaching programme for the 2024/2025 academic year.
