Classroom Assistant – Full-Time – Ringwood

A welcoming and inclusive school in Ringwood is seeking a Classroom Assistant to join their team this September. This is a full-time opportunity to support students with special educational needs (SEN), helping them to access learning in a supportive and nurturing environment.

The Role:

• Support pupils with a range of SEN needs (including autism, ADHD and speech & language difficulties)

• Work 1:1 and in small groups under the guidance of the class teacher

• Help manage behaviour positively and consistently

• Promote independence and confidence in the classroom

• Collaborate with teaching and SEN staff to support learning plans

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with children or young people (education or care background welcomed)

• A patient, empathetic and resilient approach

• A passion for helping all students thrive, regardless of ability

• Willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g. Team Teach, Safeguarding)

• A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
