Classroom Assistant – Full-Time – Ringwood

A welcoming and inclusive school in Ringwood is seeking a Classroom Assistant to join their team this September. This is a full-time opportunity to support students with special educational needs (SEN), helping them to access learning in a supportive and nurturing environment.
The Role:

Support pupils with a range of SEN needs (including autism, ADHD and speech & language difficulties)
-
Work 1:1 and in small groups under the guidance of the class teacher
-
Help manage behaviour positively and consistently
-
Promote independence and confidence in the classroom
-
Collaborate with teaching and SEN staff to support learning plans
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Experience working with children or young people (education or care background welcomed)
-
A patient, empathetic and resilient approach
-
A passion for helping all students thrive, regardless of ability
-
Willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g. Team Teach, Safeguarding)
-
A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
