About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to join a dynamic and forward-thinking education setting in New Milton.

The school is known for its supportive team, positive atmosphere and commitment to giving every student a fresh start and a meaningful pathway through learning.

You will work with secondary-aged learners, helping them engage in lessons, build confidence and develop essential life and academic skills.


What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone proactive, patient and passionate about supporting young people.
Key requirements include:

  • A minimum of six months’ childcare experience, especially supporting children with SEN needs

  • A calm, encouraging and resilient approach

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships

  • A full driving licence, due to the school’s location

  • The ability to work full-time with an immediate start


Working Hours

Your working day will run from 8.30am to 4pm, supporting learning in the classroom, assisting with behaviour regulation, encouraging participation and helping students access a broad and engaging curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
