A specialist secondary provision in Basingstoke is seeking a committed and fully qualified Class Teacher to join its dedicated team at the earliest opportunity. About the School:
The school supports students aged 10–16 with a diverse range of complex needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and related learning challenges. We pride ourselves on fostering a nurturing, inclusive environment that prioritises strong relationships and personalised learning to enable each pupil to thrive academically and personally.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons within a small class setting. Collaboration with a skilled team of teaching assistants and other professionals is essential to support the holistic development of every student. Excellent classroom management skills, flexibility, and a reflective approach to teaching are critical to success in this role.
Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

Experience or strong interest in working with students with SEND and/or SEMH

Proven classroom and behaviour management skills

Commitment to inclusive, student-centred education

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
