Job description

Primary Class Teacher – Barnsley & Sheffield

Location: Primary Schools across Barnsley & Sheffield
Start Date: immediate start  
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (with fixed-term and supply opportunities available)

About the Role

We are looking for inspiring Primary Class Teachers to join schools across Barnsley and Sheffield. Whether you are an ECT looking to begin your teaching journey or an experienced teacher seeking a new challenge, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to young learners.

Responsibilities:

✅ Deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
✅ Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
✅ Track, assess and support pupil progress
✅ Work in partnership with colleagues, parents and carers
✅ Contribute to the wider school community and activities

Requirements:

✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
✔️ Experience teaching in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 (or willingness to specialise)
✔️ Enthusiasm, resilience and a passion for teaching
✔️ Ability to inspire and motivate children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
