Child Support Worker

Despite Schools being partially closed, we are expecting a huge demand once they reopen- to help re-settle higher need pupils back into the learning environment. Ahead of this, we would like to recruit talented individuals and put them through the vetting process now, so that they are available to take posts from the first day they reopen. This could be on a short term basis, day to day, or longer term/permanent roles at various Schools in the community.
We Require Teaching Assistants with experience in supporting children with Autism / ADHD / Behavioural Issues to work in classroom settings to offer support to children in order to manage their behaviour and aid their chances of learning and develoment. This could be a 1-1, support over small groups or general support over a wider classroom environment to help high need pupils stay on track and aid the progress of the class session.
The ideal candidate must have experience, or a strong understanding of complex needs around Autism. This can be from any of the following backgrounds: - Support work in Schools - Support work in Care - Supporting adults with Special Needs - Youth Work - Psychologist - Sports Coaching - Nursing / Medical background.
