Chemistry Teacher Needed - Sunderland

As a result of a staff illness, a fantastic school in the Sunderland area is on the lookout for a Science Teacher, preferably with a Chemistry specialism, to join their successful department from October half term until Christmas, with the potential to run to at least the end of the academic year.

This role would be ideal for either an experienced Teacher who is looking to move on to a new challenge, or an NQT who is looking to embark on their career in education. The science department is very successful, so the incoming Teacher will have a strong track record of raising attainment, especially amongst lower attaining pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching both KS3 & KS4 pupils up to GCSE level across all sciences
• Deliver Chemistry lessons to KS5 pupils at AS Level
• Create, deliver and mark formative and summative assessments
• Work collaboratively with the science department to create engaging, interactive science lessons
• Effectively manage behaviour within lessons and around the school
