Teacher of Chemistry 

Join a popular and over-subscribed secondary school in Preston, seeking to appoint a Teacher of Chemistry from 1st September 2020.  

The successful Teacher will have the ability to teach Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 Science including A-level with a specialism in Chemistry. We are looking for a passionate Science Teacher who will be able to inspire students of all backgrounds and learning abilities.  

The successful Science Teacher will join a supportive department and will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated colleagues. They will demonstrate an innovative approach to teaching and will be able to engage students of all learning abilities. We are looking for a Teacher of Science who has a record of academic successful and a genuine passion for their subject.  

Highlights of this Chemistry teaching post: 

•    Full time role teaching KS3 Science and GCSE and A-level Chemistry 

•    Salary to reflect MPS/UPS (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490) based on experience and pay scale 

•    Introduction to a popular over-subscribed secondary school located in Preston

•    Access to ongoing CPD courses with Teaching Personnel  

Full time teaching role from September 2020!

The school has approximately over 900 pupils on roll, and is commended for excellent behaviour of their pupils. The progressions of pupils in the English and Mathematics departments are ‘outstanding’ from the most recent Ofsted report. The school is located in the South of Preston, away from any heavy traffic and placed within a scenic  area of Preston.

The school have approached Teaching Personnel due to not having the capacity to recruit themselves due to school closures (COVID19). Interviews will be held via video links.

Role overview:

Full time role from September 2020 for the Autumn term. Permanent from January 2021.

GBP120 - GBP165 per day

Working hours 8:20am – 3:00pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
