Job description

Catering Assistant – Residential SEN School – Ormskirk

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join the team at a residential SEN school in Ormskirk.

Role Details:

  • Hours: Approximately 7:00am – 2:30pm, ideally full-time.

  • Start: September 2025.

  • Duration: Booking likely to continue until mid-September or until October half term, depending on permanent recruitment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of both hot and cold food.

  • Support cooking and serving meals to students and staff.

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety.

  • Help with general kitchen duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience with food preparation and serving is preferred.

  • Ability to work as part of a busy kitchen team.

  • Friendly, reliable, and flexible attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
