Care / Support Workers

  • Care or support background required.
  • No school experience needed.
  • Ability to travel to and from Blackburn.
  • Supporting students with additional needs such as, SEMH, SEN, ASC and/or ADHD.
  • Competitive hourly rate of pay starting at £11.85 p/h.
  • Multiple full-time roles available, Monday to Friday (8.30am-3.30pm).
  • Varied start dates including May/June and September 2023!

The roles

Your role will consist of providing high quality care to support the pupils both educationally and holistically. Some pupils may require personal care, so your role will include supporting individuals with this, as well as possible challenging behaviours and being able to deal with these behaviours in a calm and professional manner. Supporting the pupils throughout their time with you, following their EHC plans and adhering to their individual needs is paramount in your role, this requires you to have a pupil centred approach as their wellbeing is always priority.

The schools

The schools that Teaching Personnel work with are mainstream Primary Schools. The pupils have an EHC plans who require further support to meet their day-to-day needs. The roles we have available are all due to the provisions needing additional support staff to be able to provide the highest quality of care to their students, your support is vital to ensuring the students are all being supported and safeguarded throughout their time in the provision.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
