SPORTS GRADUATES -

Are you a Sports Graduate who is energetic, passionate and looking for experience within a school setting?

Are you coming to the end of your Sports Degree?

Are you thinking about applying for a PGCE in 2018/19?

Would you like to gain invaluable experience to enhance your application?

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a number of Secondary schools to support with their recruitment for teaching assistant roles within the Cardiff & Vale area. Working as a teaching assistant you can use your previous knowledge and transferable skills from Sports coaching positions or use your own sports background to gain experience and knowledge within a classroom setting.

Teaching Personnel are looking to meet with individuals that have a proactive outlook on education and the benefits of supporting people around them. School based experience is not essential, however having the right personality is. Desirable qualities of a successful Teaching Assistant would be a keen and can do attitude, the ability to multi-task/prioritise tasks on a daily basis and also the skills to work under pressure and use your own initiative as support from the Teacher may not always be available.

We currently work with a number of schools that have expressed how well Sports graduates have done due to their attitude and transferable skills from a sporting environment. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
