About the Role

Teaching Personnel are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Manager to work with one of our partner SEN schools in the Cromer area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key leadership role within a specialist educational setting that supports children and young people with a range of additional learning needs.

You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant operation of all non-teaching aspects of the school, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to maintain financial stability and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on all aspects of financial management, including budget setting, monitoring, reporting, payroll, and statutory compliance.
  • Oversee human resources, including recruitment, staff onboarding, and wellbeing.
  • Manage premises operations and take the lead on Health & Safety compliance and site management.
  • Act as the school’s lead for Data Protection (GDPR) and ensure all related procedures are followed.
  • Provide strategic and operational support to the Senior Leadership Team to drive efficiency and school improvement.
  • Liaise with auditors, external contractors, and local authorities as required.

Requirements

  • Recognised qualification in accounting, finance, or school business management (CSBM/DSBM or equivalent).
  • Proven experience managing budgets and resources, ideally within a school or educational environment.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and solution-focused approach.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
