An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 5 Biology Teacher to join an outstanding secondary school in Beckenham from January 2024. This school is renowned for its commitment to academic excellence, supportive environment, and vibrant school community.

Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning:
*Deliver high-quality and engaging Biology lessons to Key Stage 5 students, ensuring a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
*Foster a love for Biology, encouraging critical thinking and independent learning among students.

Curriculum Development:
*Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Biology curriculum, incorporating innovative teaching methods and staying abreast of educational advancements.
*Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a seamless and cohesive curriculum across Key Stage 5.

Assessment and Feedback:
*Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress.
*Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to facilitate their academic development.

Extra-Curricular Activities:
*Actively participate in and contribute to extracurricular activities, such as science clubs, field trips, and other enrichment programs.
*Support the school's commitment to a holistic education experience.

Collaboration and Professional Development:
*Collaborate with colleagues within the Science Department and across other departments to promote interdisciplinary learning.
*Engage in continuous professional development to stay informed about advancements in Biology and teaching methodologies.

Requirements:
Qualifications:

*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant postgraduate qualifications.
*A degree in Biology or a related field.

Experience:
*Proven experience teaching Biology at Key Stage 5, with a track record of successful student outcomes.
*Familiarity with the UK curriculum and assessment frameworks.

Passion for Education:
*A genuine passion for Biology and a commitment to inspiring students to reach their full potential.
*Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Innovation and Adaptability:
*Willingness to embrace innovative teaching methods and contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking Science Department.
*The ability to adapt to the changing needs of the school and its students.
