Science teacher – Chiswick

A Catholic secondary school near Chiswick is currently recruiting in their Science department for a Biology teacher. The school works closely with Teaching Personnel as one of our client schools. The Biology teaching position would be full time, starting from January 2020 till the end of the academic year with a potential to take a permanent position at the Catholic school in July 2020 depending on performance.

Teaching Personnel have a Service Level Agreement in place with Catholic Diocese in London, specifically the Southwark and Brentwood Diocese. As such, we work closely with Catholic schools in London forming a recruitment partnership. The Catholic school in question has a close recruitment partnership with Teaching Personnel meaning we can offer many opportunities in good Catholic schools that perform well.

  • Biology teaching position required to teach up to key stage 5.

  • Pay scale inline with the inner London MPS/UPS pay scale; GBP33,741 to 49,571 (M3 to U3).

  • Full time position from January to July 2020 with the option to go permanent

  • A Chiswick based Catholic school rated ‘good’ by Ofsted

 

The successful Science teacher will have a Biology specialism, or experience teaching Biology at key stage 4 and key stage 5. All teachers must hold a PGCE or QTS and good subject knowledge. Although the senior leadership at the schools are looking for a Biology specialist, the incoming teacher would be expected to teach general science up to key stage 4 (Biology, Chemistry and Physics.) The Head of Science is looking for a teacher who can build a good rapport with the student and plans creative and innovative lessons in line with the national curriculum.
