Behaviour Support Assistant
Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a specialist in behavioural support for a rewarding opportunity at ona brilliant, community secondary school in the Tonypandy area. This is a full-time position for the entire academic year and is available for an immediate start. Your primary role will involve working with students ranging from KS3 to KS5 who are at risk of exclusion from the mainstream educational environment. Your role is to guide them onto the right path and effectively manage challenging behaviour.
Behavioural Support Role Highlights:
- Provide one-on-one support to students displaying challenging behaviours.
- Support any additional needs that the student may have.
- Collaborate with a team of dedicated support staff.
- Follow guidance from senior management within the school.
- Accompany the student throughout the school day, assisting them from one lesson to another.
- Recognize potential triggers and distractions, fostering a positive learning environment for the student.
Behavioural Support Requirements:
- Possess an Enhanced DBS available on the update service.
- Maintain valid registration with the EWC.
- Demonstrate previous experience working with challenging behaviour or supporting vulnerable adults or children.
- Hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs in core subjects.
Teaching Personnel is available to assist you with your DBS and EWC applications, ensuring a smooth process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
