There are children aged 5-16 years with Autism and Challenging Behaviours, who require support with engagement in their learning and development. The post is based in Ely, but commutable from Thetford, Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, and March.

Our workforce partner is a specialist educational needs school, based in Ely, who are seeking additional support for their pupils aged 5-16 years.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you are required to support and improve the learning and development of each child you work with, which is an extremely rewarding job role where no two days are the same.

Working at the school, you should expect to manage extremely challenging and aggressive behaviour (both physical and verbal). With a strong interest and previous experience, personal experience and/or knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN), the successful applicant will be a resilient and motivated individual, who is ready to start work as soon as possible and is able to provide pupils aged 5-16 years with consistency in a learning environment.

Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm Mon-Fri

Rate of Pay: GBP10 per hour

Ideally you will drive and have your own transport.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
