Behaviour Teaching Assistant
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join one of Alternative Provision schools in Burgess Hill. You will play a vital role in supporting students with behavioural challenges, ensuring their academic and social success within the classroom environment. Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual student needs.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students exhibiting challenging behaviours, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Act as a positive role model, demonstrating empathy, patience and respect in all interactions.
- Assist in the supervision of student during classroom activities, transitions and recess periods, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviours and redirect inappropriate behaviours effectively.
About you:
- Be passionate about child-centred learning
- Have excellent and organisational and communication skills
- Be able to make a positive contribution to the ethos of the school
- Preferably have experience of working with young people
- Committed, enthusiastic and a positive attitude.
Key Points:
Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:30pm
Term time only
Full support and ongoing training.
