Teaching Assistant in Bournemouth

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work in our client school in Bournemouth to start ASAP.

School

The school is a Pupil Referral Unit in Bournemouth, catering for Secondary aged pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education. This includes pupils who are temporarily excluded, permanently excluded and pupils with SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH). These pupils can display challenging behaviour at times so management or experience of this is a key attribute to the role.

Role

As a 1-1 Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for engaging the pupil in their education either in or out of school premises. Work will be set by the class teacher and you will support the pupil with their work. Some of our 1-1 Teaching Assistants are required to work off-site with the pupils. This would normally be at a library or learning zone and you would be required to transport the pupil. Successful Candidates will need to be consistently positive and professional in the role which can be challenging at times. Personal Skills, abilities and experience will be used to place you in the most appropriate and suitable role for you.

Requirements

Experience working in a school or SEN school IS NOT required. We also think outside the box, so if you have experience in youth work, one to one tutoring, sports coaching or Custodial Service don't hesitate to get in touch.

We have Full time, Part time and ad-hoc hours available. Locations, distances and hours of work are found in accordance to your preferences!

Please get in touch A.S.A.P if interested!
