Behaviour Support Worker

Teaching Personnel is looking for a Behaviour Support Worker to work in the Trafford Park area of Trafford. This school recently received a Good from OFSTED and is actively looking for individuals, particularly those working in Behaviour support, to propel them to the next level of 'Outstanding'. The school is for ages 11-16 and caters for pupils with identified special needs relating to their social, emotional and mental health needs. As a result of this you would be supporting the teacher in classes of no more than 8 pupils. In addition to this excellent pupil to adult ratio, the school also a fantastic and extended Pastoral team including a Transition Co-ordinator, Family Support Worker, and a Pupil Support Worker. This would ensure you are supported at all times during your employment and are able to give your very best to your pupils as they develop and mature. The school is located in Urmston and has great transport links to the surrounding area and Manchester City centre, including buses and trams.

Outside of the curriculum the school is known for a strong respect between the pupils and teachers especially in extracurricular activities such as sports.

The ideal candidate would be someone who:

• Has experience in a secondary school environment
• Experience working with social, emotional and mental health
• Can keep calm under pressure
• Has a warm and friendly personality.
