Teaching Assistant – SEMH School- September Start

 PR6 |  Full-time | 

We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school based in PR6.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is active, sporty, and hands-on, and who can confidently support pupils with challenging behaviours.


The Role:

  • Supporting students with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom
  • Managing and responding to challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent manner
  • Building strong, positive relationships with pupils
  • Encouraging engagement through practical and physical activities
  • Working closely with teaching staff to support learning and emotional development

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a sporty, energetic, and proactive approach
  • Is resilient and confident when dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Can think on their feet and is forward-thinking in their approach
  • Is hands-on and willing to get stuck in
  • Has experience working with children or young people (school, coaching, youth work, etc.)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
