Teaching Assistant – SEMH School- September Start

PR6 | Full-time |

We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school based in PR6.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is active, sporty, and hands-on, and who can confidently support pupils with challenging behaviours.

The Role:

Supporting students with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom
Managing and responding to challenging behaviour in a calm, consistent manner
Building strong, positive relationships with pupils
Encouraging engagement through practical and physical activities
Working closely with teaching staff to support learning and emotional development

We’re looking for someone who:

Has a sporty, energetic, and proactive approach
Is resilient and confident when dealing with challenging behaviour
Can think on their feet and is forward-thinking in their approach
Is hands-on and willing to get stuck in
Has experience working with children or young people (school, coaching, youth work, etc.)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
