Are you resilient and confident when dealing with pupils who display challenging behaviours?

If so, this is the role for you!

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Burnley based Pupil Referral Unit who provide education for KS3/4 pupils who have SEMH difficulties, display challenging behaviours and often have Anxiety and/or Autism. The School is smaller than average with only 50 pupils on roll and the pupils are currently predominantly male.

The School is based in Burnley with links to public transport and on site parking. The School are seeking a strong candidate who can work on a 1:1 basis with pupils who display challenging behaviours which may include being both verbally and physically aggressive. The School are seeking a candidate to start within the next few weeks and it is likely to continue for the foreseeable future, likely until the Easter holidays.

The role will require you to support pupils on a small group or 1:1 basis and class sizes are never bigger than 10 pupils per class. Ideally you will have your Team Teach qualification but this is not essential, it is however essential you have a good understanding of mental health difficulties and various special educational needs.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

* Negotiable pay rates £50-61 per day

* Long term position available

* Access to Teaching Personnel CPD including Team Teach
