Summary: The head of a client PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) based in Cardiff is looking for Team Teach Trained individuals, with a background in challenging behaviour to work as behaviour support officers within their KS2 class from Monday to Friday starting ASAP. The pupils that attend this school can display challenging behaviour and at times be confrontational. Pay will be based on experience and performance but will range from GBP65.00 - GBP75.00 a day. Previous experience and or transferrable skills are highly desired for this role.
The School: The PRU caters for pupils of secondary age that may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette’s syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour. Based in Cardiff, this school is easily accessible through public transport and has parking on arrival for those that drive.
The Successful Behaviour Support Assistant Will:
• Be Team teach trained (Essential)
• Have good communication skills
• Be a team player
• Have an outgoing personality
• Be confident
• Show great resilience
• Have good behaviour management skills
• Have a passion for helping others
The ideal Team Teach Trained Behaviour Mentor will be enthusiastic and show great behaviour management skills. You will be confident and not be fazed by challenging behaviour in the classroom. You will be expected to work between 8:30am-3:30pm. The school is run by a successful team of supporting staff and on the go training will be provided to those that need it.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
